This is a tour dedicated to people who want discover landscapes, culture and taste of our Region.
During the first three days you will ski, with our expert skiing masters, along the marvelous tracks in our Dolomites.
From mountain to the Po valley where our expert Chiara will take you around the best places of eastern Veneto. You will taste our local cuisine and our best wines.
NOTE: Trip itinerary may vary based on the weather conditions, the slopes and on the fitness level of the group.
Weather is very unstable on the mountains, therefore a beautiful sunny March day may quickly turn into a cold snow storm. To prevent unwanted surprises that could ruin your holiday, we suggest to carry adequate clothing, such as a multi-layer clothing that makes possible to wear off or on your clothing optimizing your body temperature.
If possible, use zipper clothing, wear long-sleeves t-shirts under fleece or wool sweater. If you are very sensitive to the cold we suggest to carry always into your rucksack a scarf, a cap, under-gloves and earmuffs.
Don’t forget the suntan barrier cream, minimum protection grade 20, cocoa-butter lip stick, sun glasses or a skiing mask.
In the matter of luggage we kindly request you to choose soft suitcases, possibly trolley type which can be easily manipulated and will be of help to our staff moving them daily and when loading and unloading them from the cable-cars and ski lifts.
Arrive on your own or with a transfer available (on request) from the airport of Venice, hotel accommodation, trip briefing, equipment check, pick up your week Dolomite Skipass. The rest of your time will be dedicated to the relax and shopping in the atmosphere that only Cortina D’Ampezzo ,with its exclusive shops and workshops, is able to offer you.
The first day is dedicated to the discover of the wonderful tracks and mountains of Cortina D’Ampezzo, the pearl of the Dolomites that hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics Games and every year hosts the Women’s World Cup races.
In the afternoon we travel to the near Alta Badia, crossing one of the wonderful panoramic place in the Dolomites, we will arrive to San Cassiano where we stay overnight and we have typical dinner with traditional cuisine.
Today we are going to the famous Sella Ronda circuit. We start in the morning from San Cassiano and we will be back in the afternoon, going around the famous mountain of cluster Sella and crossing pass Gardena, pass Sella, pass Pordoi and pass Campolongo. In the evening we will enjoy our relax in the shadow of Sas dla Crusc.
PROSECCO WINE TOUR. After breakfast a shuttle, will take you to next destination. Chiara Ulian , owner , tour Leader & Sommelier at My Venice Travel Guide will take you around the beautiful Veneto Region exploring the hidden places and giving you the opportunity to feel like a local and giving you the chance to see the Veneto Region with an insider.
From the Dolomites the tour leader & Sommelier will come and pick you up at your location and by a minivan with driver you will easily reach the Altamarca Trevigiana and Valdobbiadene through the stunning Prosecco and Colli di Conegliano and Valdobbiadene Wine Road estabilished in 1966.
In this area we will visit two vineyards and a local trattoria out of the normal itineraries and in the late afternoon we will reach the old roman town of Padova and the 4 star hotel for the check in .
From Padova, the tour leader&Sommelier will meet you at the hotel and in 30 minutes we will be in the most amaizing city in the world, the so called Queen of the Adriatic, VENICE. We will walk through the “Calli” , the little roads in the hidden Venice enjoying local wines and specialties in Bacari (local bars) as the venetian do. We will taste a selection of typical venetian appetizers and local wine sparkling wine or the very famous aperitivo..the spritz! Later we will visit an ancient glass factory in Murano venetian island that we will reach by a private luxury water taxi.
PADOVA & EUGANEAN HILLS
From the hotel Chiara will take you with a short walk in the centre of this pearl in the Veneto Region will reaching the medieval squares – Piazza dei Signori, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza della Frutta – seat of the daily market which have been representing one of the most beloved meeting points of the Paduans for the last 800 years. The historic centre of Padova (Padua) is dominated by the imposing Palazzo della Ragione, which was built in the year 1218. Here you will have the great opportunity to visit the ancient covered market “Sotto il Salone” famous since the past because it is the heaven of food ..you will taste asiago cheese, parmiggiano reggiano, burrata cheese and in the early afternoon we will move to regionale park of The Euganean hills for a special wine tasting and visiting the medieval village of Arquà Petrarca, in the list of the most beautiful borghi (little village )in Italy.
VISIT BRENTA RIVIERA & a TORRONIFICIO
The Riviera del Brenta, which extends over an area between the provinces of Venice and Padua is famous all over the world for its historical villas and for luxury shoes production, for both man and women. During our short trip from Padova to the airport (20 minutes), we will reach the Brenta Riviera passing by Villa Foscari known as “La Malcontenta” the only one built by the famous architect Palladio Unesco Heritage Site since 1993 and Villa Pisani, a National Museum. On the way we will stop in a torronificio factory to taste this amazing local sweet product called “torrone”. Chiara will later take you to the airport.
